Is it the things that I’m searching or the sources I am reading that have led me to believe that we have been swindled into thinking that we would have a health care option provided by the government that was for people and not for profits. Can I read something that says how much good this Senate Bill will do for we the people? No changes in the pre-existing conditions until 2014. Why the lag time? This what the president campaigned on. This is why I voted for him. I’m generally for social justice and progressive politics and am self-employed. The public health option wasn’t a handout; it was funded by my taxes and would have saved more on the overall deficit. So who really wins when your are forced to buy a shitty insurance plan that doesn’t t have any cost control for care or prescriptions? The Dems shot themselves in the foot and no one is really doing anything about it but the Tea Party. Why are they so energized? Are we too comfy with our holiday Starbucks cups and Sunday New York Times to take our asses into the streets and demand that our taxes don’t stuff the pockets of people that already have more money than some of us will ever see? Who comin’ with me? Hmmm, just what I thought… What’s next? Read this link from the Chicago Tribune. All this lobbying money came from our higher deductibles and drugs that have doubled in the last 5 years? http://www.chicagotribune.com/health/chi-health-lobbyists_bddec20,0,5453763,print.story
